and regular solo appearances in vocal chamber music with members of the Oslo Symphony, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Oslo Opera, and Bergen Opera in musical gems by Britten, Holst, Kahn, Karnavičius, Vaughan Williams, and others.
While waiting for his voice to mature, Patrick earned his Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Houston, founded and led Houston Baroque to strong international reviews in recordings of Buxtehude, Handel, and Rheinberger, worked as a choirmaster in the Anglican tradition and The Norwegian Church, taught at the Norwegian Academy of Music, and performed the complete organ works of Bach, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Schumann.
Patrick also completed a Master of Social Work at the University of Houston where he studied Jungian and Freudian principles that shaped generations of opera and which inspire him to create powerful connections with audiences through the comforting, healing, and sustaining power of music.

American-born, Norway-based Patrick Parker is a dramatic tenor whose current concert season includes covering Dick Johnson and singing Harry and Trin in Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West (Opera Verismo, UK), the title role in Act III of Wagner’s Tannhäuser (Norway), tenor soloist in Verdi's Messa da Requiem (Davidson College, USA), and “The Wanderer's Year,” a 19th-century song cycle series including Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin and Winterreise and Brahms' Die schöne Magelone.
Patrick’s 2027 season includes a U.S. tour of “Wagner’s Spiritual Side” featuring excerpts from Rienzi, Tannhäuser, Parsifal, Lohengrin and Wesendonck Lieder with organist Tom Roback as well as “The Mystic’s Year,” a multi-concert journey of French mélodies including the complete songs of Olivier Messiaen, Debussy’s Cinq poèmes de Charles Baudelaire, and more.
Patrick's operatic roles also include Siegmund in Die Walküre. Previous seasons have included Strauss and Mahler lieder, Dvořák's Biblické písně (Biblical Songs)
